@Jordan Lisnowi think you should get a few deals under your belt first.are you going to all the REIA meetings within a 2 hour radius and talking to all the other investors? 

THEN get yourself to some meetups and meet other people locally.

I would even schedule a meeting with the property manager to look at the property.

If the cameras are placed in legal areas (not spying on others) she is good.
