My concerns are keeping the home will be an endless money sink in repairs and updates instead of asset, cost more than it makes by preventing access to something like a VA loan on a better property in the future, or overly distract me learning details about the market here that won't help me in SF.The home is 2 bed 1 bath, 1200 square foot, one and a half story SFR with a garage, storage shed, fenced yard, w/d hook ups in the garage.

Long story short, I could NOT keep my rentals rented not even to Sect 8 because when economy took a dive, people who wanted to stay employed moved OUT of the area and that made room to the "other" people that trashed the asset class from a B- to a blunt D in as little as 2 years.

Better parts of Dayton (Belmont, Eastmont, Shiloh Springs), and the suburbs.Occasionally I get a killer deal in a better part of a D+ neighborhood, but those always require a little more time to keep running smoothly.There are a lot of "non-deals" advertised that look great on paper, but the neighborhood and actual performance say otherwise.
