The executor is sending over a letter, copy of the bank statement showing the funds, and copy of paper work showing he is executor"How do I verify that the Executor is legit and the documents show that the funds are available?

I've had one legit lead - someone that actually called me.  

I know the guys who are offering me these properties are legit and have a good reputation  in the industry, I just want to be sure to choose the right neighborhoods for rental purposes, or wait for other opportunities in other parts of the city with a better rental market, obviously statistically because at the end of the day nothing is for sure.

You want to seem as legit as possible with your business.

Of course I would recommend buying a home with it, but you could head down to your local casino and put it all on red if you choose to! 

I don't have much to get started and dont want to lose 3k if they are not legit.
