Their water mitigation included the removal of their side of the drywall between our units and in doing so they say they found mold on the inside of their wall and mine (in the space between our walls).Now, they want me to remove an entire wall and built-ins in my condo at my expense.

If you happen to have a 1.5 - 3 inch drain that somehow has become corroded despite the fact that water is being run down it constantly (meaning that's actually rare) then it's the landlords problem.

Depending on the area, the city may provide most of the utilities and in other cases they have to do multiple accounts. eg, one we're doing later this week: city provides water/sewer/garbage.
