Being at a distance, how do people start finding their team? 

I've spent the last several months reading as many books as I can in my spare time and listening to as many podcasts as possible in my daily commute.

Our plan was to initially buy a home in San Diego because we both work there but the homes up north are a lot better and cheaper and we wouldn’t mind the commute.

Most of them seem to have a hard enough time finding enough deals within a reasonable driving distance, let alone in a single town.

So here I am with a very basic question:What are the popular submarkets you would recommend for long distance investors?
