Don't be afraid to negotiate!

Especially to end up with a discount equal to what they could have negotiated on a property with no repairs necessary.Unless you have a buyer lined up ready, willing and eager to do this deal (for some reason that escapes me), I’m afraid you don’t have a doable deal.

I read that Steve Jobs once said the biggest thing that holds most people back is that they are afraid to ask for what they want.

Never be afraid to say "I'm not certain of the answer to that, but I will find out and get back to you". 

Do not be afraid to shop around and talk to a number of folks before pulling the trigger.

Don't be afraid to ask for transparency across the board.

Don't be afraid to negotiate!

I wish I could say thriving, but I am afraid this likely isn’t an appropriate characterization for a majority of these brave firms.

@Dave DeMarinis I should re-word, she is 100% supportive she is just one of those nervous types who is afraid to put so much into something but once she realizes the potential outcome and once we figure out if I’m staying in or getting out of the navy she will be on board.
