Hello BP Community, we're having to bring an unpermitted unit in an older building up to code for a dwelling space and need plans drawn up to submit to the city.

Dave Ramsey’s preachings are appropriate for these people.His preachings are limiting for those that are building generational wealth. 

Many investors are building as they can do that more cost effectively than buying under the current market conditions. 

Thank you,I'm new to this type of investing (more familiar with buying businesses) so I'm cobbling together information from brokers, chatGPT and everything in between to figure out what I need to (at reasonable cost while controlling risk profile) complete an acquisition.Facility is in rural Kansas, and is composed of a portfolio of 4 buildings on 3 parcels. 195 unit count - ~10 years old on average, some are newer (2 years) others older (15+ years)I'm trying to learn what I should watch out for in the process and what studies will be needed to get a good level of comfort before acquiring the facilities

First one takes about an hour to build.

We don't have funding, but are trying to build and save for this.

We did a a crazy episode with the owner of the building that exploded two years ago in Austin.  

Would love to learn about pain points from other property managers.So I have a career background working in software and am currently applying simply builds to common monthly tasks such as sending, receiving, and logging payments for rents.

Not trying to build a business but love RE too much to ignore it completely.
