What I would say about the BRRR Strategy as it relates to a decline in home value is there are a few things you can do to protect yourself.  1 - Make sure the data you are using to buy the property are accurate (ex. realtor CMA) and avoid over paying. 

@Jerryll Noorden any suggestion in how to do a deep search on a person it data comes back incorrect?

I use it for several things as well as hypermarket data.

Then, if I wanted to get more specific in the data (search criteria and what was in the data provided to me), it was going to go up in price again. 

I've driven to a couple and it was clear it would benefit be a place I could spend extended time.

Anyway, the bottom line is the market (sales data) tells you what amenities they value.

I try to take the dreamy-picturesque vacation-location out of my mind (or out of the equation) and stick to the numbers, as @Mike Lambert pointed out, it's best to get the facts and data first.

Then print off that list and start calling, fill in your sheet and let the data point you where to go.
