Based on my short experience I see Home loans as a much cheaper alternative when compared to private money loans but of course they have a lot more hoops to jump through.

I hate allstate for this same reasonI switched to statefarm, they keep all in-house and it's much better for consolidation (and for me they were cheaper as well)
