What if I get in now and then I get burned because of timing?

Building relationships with tradesmen takes time so you are either going to overpay for a general contractor with a strong reputation or risk getting burned subbing out the individual trades to people you don't have a history with.The other big question is what are your income requirements? 

Bottom line is, how much time, money and energy do I expend on this before I say "I can't find a leak.

I think I'm just going to jump in the dragon's mouth, I live in the Los Angeles Area and I'm tired of waiting to see if the RE market dips or drops, should I just jump in and if I get burned I will learn from the experience? 

We now have 2 VA loans burning a hole in our pocket again and want to use them to get the hell out of Michigan in the winter and snowbird down in southern Florida.

My guess is that the seller feels burned after waiting a few months and buyer financing falling through.

You buy insurance in case a fire burns down your house, but the odds of that happening are probably a million to one.

Burn out and/or obsession claim just as many victims as inaction.With that being said, I, as well as, many others on here will be more than willing to help you out with any questions along the way! 

All local wholesalers have been badly burned and make sure that none of their signs will ever be put back in this city.
