Fines for Bandit signs?

I’ve been considering putting up some Bandit signs to generate leads/add to my buyers list. I was curious if anybody’s actually been fined for this method? I’m aware it’s illegal in most cities. If anybody has experience using them in Dallas I’d love to hear about it.
