Seems like there should be some borrower protection to prevent it or why wouldn't the banks make it more common practice??

Personally, I would prefer a protected parking area, even if it's a well-designed carport.

when buying real estate with subject to / wrap around mortgages how is the investor or home owner protected from each other after the deed is transfered.

I value LLC protection highly, so this is kind of disconcerting for me.I've also been kicking around the idea of doing a 1031 exchange with my real estate colleague after 1 year and obtaining purchase money financing on one of his properties.

Hello all, I own a 4plex in Louisiana and I know it has 4 vents on the roof, but the vents don't have a protected cover going from the upstairs bathroom out of the roof.So I think the vents just suck up the hot air and it seeps out at any one of the combined 4 vents.Question: Is this normal in a 4plex or should there be a tube the air goes up?
