Has anyone successfully permitted existing ADUs and garage conversions in Riverside or surrounding areas? 

I work with many investors looking for STRs in Madison's surrounding areas.

I want to invest in a Sub200K area right now that will put me in about a B neighborhood with working class folks who care about their surroundings/block.

Add to that the fact that there are a ton of laws surrounding syndication and who you can take money from, so even if you found someone willing to give you money, there is still a lot of red tape to jump through. 

Infill construction can also have tons of added costs if you have a lot that is not level, tree removal, no infrastructure in place, etc. 

Very tall pine trees surrounding the property creating a very private feel yet in the heart of everything.

I’d rather be a little north on there or if price is a dealbreaker maybe consider Baltimore or it’s surrounding counties it’s a little isolated down there which caps both appreciation and rent growth.

As for my area in FL not to many but Im now looking at surrounding areas.

Just like everywhere, the Asheville and surrounding market is swift and is challenged with low inventory, but we are seeing listings (ever so slightly) start to pick up, so hopefully there will be more buying options out there.

Just surround yourself with a solid team and some good mentors.
