There are other structures where splits shift to 100% to sponsor after the pref to catch the sponsor up before the subsequent waterfall tiers and probably a thousand other structural nuances but a lot of that stuff is just either ridiculous, disingenuous, or downright designed to be confusing so that the investors can't possibly figure out how much the sponsor is getting.

That's doubly true in a market like Houston, where the higher positions are FAR over priced for the subsequent performance increase they give (you can think of this like stock prices - a stock can be for a great company, but can still get far overpriced relative to it's actual value).Anyway, not to bore you with nerdy stuff.
