Do you want to pay your tenant's unpaid water bill?

You receive a benefit from the city providing water, you are welcome to try to place the cost of that benefit on your tenant, but you remain responsible. The analogies to going after banks are silly, IMO.

To rent with RE agent or without
28 March 2015 | 6 replies
I had a discussion with a friend of mine yesterday about strategies to rent her new condo apartment. She's been told to put listing on kijiji and don't hire any Real Estate agent for helping her because even if she pays him/her there will be no guarantee of finding a good tenant. My thoughts are: to list it with Real Estate agent because promised commission (50% of monthly rent ) will motivate agents to bring clients; agent will show the property during business hours when she's at work; help with screening process and paperwork.Could you please advise which's a right solution?

Giving partial escrow payment to the seller, Is this ok?
6 March 2015 | 1 reply
I know many say to not do this for many reasons, but is it ok to give part of the escrow payment to the Seller and have most of the remaining amount in escrow, just to help the seller have some cash in hand now while they wait for their home to close and to show them that I really want to help them.?

(I knew from going and watching the previous tax auction that any property not bid on would be re--auctioned at 2pm the same afternoon with minimum starting bids of $300) I went out during the break and checked the properties that were remaining.
