AZUSACaltrans is considering repairing a 4.4-mile closed gap in State Highway 39 in the northern section of the Angeles National Forest, a washed-out portion of highway north of Azusa, closed for 44 years, that blocks local access to ski areas and high-desert communities.Highway 39 runs from downtown Azusa into the Angeles National Forest, taking 3 million to 4 million visitors every year to trails, campgrounds, picnic sites, river bends, Native American sites and off-road vehicle areas.But motorists driving Highway 39, off the 210 Freeway, meet a dead-end about 27 miles north, just beyond Crystal Lake, a camping and recreational area.

That was my vehicle to generate cash-flow to invest in other assets.

Some tourists are terrified of steep roads (see @Luke Carl who has stopped vehicles on steep roads with the intention of walking down and buying a new vehicle when he got to the bottom of the mountain) so they'd prefer easy roads over anything.

Just to add on...if you do set up separate parking agreements (or actually,even if you do not), you should also have a form to register their vehicle information for your records, so you know whose vehicle they are (should be owned by a household member), and ensure they have current tags, safety check (if required), and we specify they must be operable.

I know this is pretty much impossible to achieve in today’s JC market, but what I’m implying is that I always tried to identify a neighborhood that was not as developed and was less desirable but had the signs of soon to come development (in path of progress, like a big luxury apartment development being approved by the city, a new light rail stop being planned, etc). 

Then we went home, changed vehicles and tools and worked on repairing a broken cabinet door at one of our rentals.
