A poorly done paint job is worse than not painting at all.amen. prepping those old wood cabinets is key. i've redone my kitchen by sanding (not very heavy) the cabinets down, then applying primer (2 coats), then some semi-gloss Sherwin Williams urethane trim enamel with great results: https://www.sherwin-williams.c...

Ive been in prospective homes that had really short basements but they were finished with either drywall or old wood paneling and it was just used as is since it was still functional for a little family area.
