From my question you would all guess I am a newbie at this.....here's my question, does the city actually sends somebody to inspect the property after receiving the license application or just issue the license if I go and apply for the same at the center city office.The property is being refurbished and plan to put it on the market for rent around Nov 1st.I appreciate your earliest reply.

Always understand your out plan before you get in.

I called the number on the sharpie marker sign and a few days later I met up with the owners and walked the property.it's a well maintained (on the outside) duplex on a large double-lot with tons of parking.

P.s I don’t plan on selling anytime soon.

Do you plan to use the property at all, and STR it, or just buy and long-term rent it out?

Try to research and get a sense of any new exciting development in the area, be it hospitals, parks/walkways, transportation, etc., which will drive value to the area.
