I want financial independence.

I just moved in from Upstate NY and am very excited to start investing (little by little) to become financially independent in a few years but my biggest concern with Houston, TX is the flooding. 

Is it just financial independence? 

In the unlikely event that Loan Doctor could not continue operating, and had to shut down, the cash and cash equivalents backing the CDs would be distributed by an independent administrator in full to all the CD holders.

I want to become more involved in real estate investing so I may become more financially and time-independent plus ensure my special needs daughter will be taken care of for her future. 

If they're only charging 6% they're likely going to make it up from you somewhere else.....like frequent turnover of tenants....or upcharging on maintenance.I'd be happy to give you an independent look at any of the deals they are offering to you.

Find an independent insurance agent that does commercial real estate.Insurance varies by state so a local guy will know what you need.

I am looking for financing more deals to provide financial independence but I am having trouble to where it makes sense. 

While driving for Uber I am still an independent contractor (Able to work as much or as little as I need) and get to learn the roads, properties, banks, grocery stores, restaurants,  neighborhoods, Schools, and best of all add contacts (Leads) to my database while doing it.Thoughts and Opinions welcomed.
