There are things I do sub out , roofing on anything over 5/12 pitch , most electrical , and some A/C work .

And back to the original question, with everything going on, is this where my energies should be directed?

Also, if the heating system was broken you should have provided some type of temporary heaters....electric, whatever.

I have started getting notices that she's setup water, electric bills to her name starting next week.

I want electric on to keep A/C running (in FL), and that would be the same reason I would want them on in your case.

I would have to make some improvements before it would be liveable (heat,water,electricity).  

I am also spending time on Zillow getting to know the area.So far I am a little overwhelmed with it all, but am starting to get it figured out. whitle it seems that most people who start are looking to wholesale, I am not sure that is where I would like to spend my time and energy. any suggestions on how to get started with limited cash.
