I am beginning my journey to becoming a real estate investor in multi-family, and have been pouring over books and content for months and months.

My wife is originally from Florida and I somehow convinced her to move up here instead of the other way around lolRight now, we're looking for a single family home near the downtown area of Saint Augustine but I foresee us buying a few different properties in Florida over the course of time of building our portfolio.

But I would like to kick start my real estate journey before starting a family or moving in with my girlfriend.

While we do not see income from these properties and are not managing them we do have a significant amount of depreciation and losses that have been assigned to us and carried over from the past couple years.I am invested in some growth/equity focused projects already and am specifically looking in reliable income focused strategies that are tax efficient provided the losses I have from my family.

Thinking about New construction Single Family home in RTP area. 

We have had success renting 4 and 5 bedroom house Section 8 to larger families and multi-generational families. 

46229 is a decent area for rentals especially single family homes that you would accept section8 on.

Family Management" company or similar set up as a sole-proprietor.

I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO DO IT BUT I'M ON THE FENCE, MY WIFE IS NOT TOO SURE, SHE THINK THAT'S A LOT OF MONEY, WHICH I ALSO UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS, I'VE HEARD A LOT OF TESTIMONIALS AND VERY POSITIVE, I'M CURRENTLY UNEMPLOYED AND KNOW THAT IF THIS PAN OUT WOULD BE A GAME CHANGER FOR MY FAMILY AND OUR FUTURE.
