I would suggest your first step to be to have a conversation with the owner, see whether they are interested in selling and if so if they have a price in mind.

If you do decide to pursue a multifamily property, make sure you know your areas very well.

I've done a traditional loan to my personal name and I've done a straight commercial/business loan (5year) to an LLC for a multi family but I've never pursued a fixed rate longer term note to an LLC. 

I currently work as Catalog Manager but am looking to step my game up and learn more and real estate.

We are extremely excited to take this next step to financial freedom and can't wait to own property all over DFW!! 

Having that base will make pursuing your goals in real estate way easier.You can certainly use Uber to fill the gap while you are looking for the IT job and as a great way to continue driving for dollars (between rides), and getting to know the market.

Where is the best place for newbies to learn step by step action they can apply to buying notes?

My ultimate goal is to live in it and rent the other units out.I was hoping if you can provide any advice for me about first steps, construction loans, financing, and/or rehab.
