I've tried reading the law, and I'm no lawyer... the jargon goes over my head a bit...Second, in regards to the tenant-buyer exercising the option, if they decide to do so, do you have the actually purchase (at least on paper) the property from the seller before selling it yourself to the tenant-buyer?

Since this was a doctor, his lawyer wanted to make modifications that provide protection for him as a medical provider and per HIPAA guidelines.

He’s applied for VA disability and has numerous claims with medical history backing so he’s banking on getting 70+% (he of course thinks 100% but idk enough to know how realistic that is).Alas, once he separates he wants to buy a multifamily home in January-March in the DFW area.

The lender can exercise the "due on sale" clause if the name(s) of the buyer are not the same name(s) as the members identified as the owners of the LLC.

@Roman M.I have owner financed property as the buyer, and have yet to experience a bank exercise the “Due on sale” especially on a performing note.To boot, I have explained what I would like to do with my lender, they are ok with it as long as they are in first position.

I really like Houston, I just make sure  to avoid floor areas.  4th biggest city in USA, 10%+ population growth, relative low costs, no state income tax, solid employment anchors (energy, tech, medical industries)
