I want to gain an much knowledge as possible and have been reading some of the forums on here along with reading real estate books.My goals are to start investing in properties and create a portfolio that will always keep growing (hopefully).

Steve, My knowledge of properties in NYC is very limited, but with what I do know and have observed personally (I used to tag along with my Uncle - he's a construction contractor) on buildings with age like you have throughout New York, it is very important to check for leaks, as well as foundational issues.

I am looking to connect with other members and increase my knowledge of all areas of Real Estate Investing.
