Timing isn't ideal - at least in Minnesota - but I figure real estate is just like any other industry: regardless of market conditions there is always money to be made if you're creative, have a plan and the right strategy.My business partner and I have the creativity part down but the plan and strategy are items that we're working on.

Sometimes you hear some nonsense in this industry, but this website is just too much! 

I utilized conventional financing at 20% down to avoid PMI, so it ate a lot of my savings.

One of the benefits from my side is that we can utilize a low interest rate and small down payment cause he would be living there.

I'm trying to rent my 2nd floor in my owner/occupy, but I'm running into some resistance on my heat utilities as I have oil heat/hot water.Currently I am including water/sewage but tenant would pay electric/heat/hot water.

I’m sure much of what he spoke about was biased due to his businesses ventures and  maintaining his reputation in the industry. 

The ripple effects of people adding solar to their homes to keep up with that is huge as it will be as other States/Countries follow suit.I think on a practical level (and yes I am in the solar industry), is that anyone considering solar now should jump on it.

I'm curious about the real estate market evolution of the property management industry.

As of right now, two of the units (a duplex) have utilities covered in their rent.
