I'm not a lender but they may also look at your bank statements to demonstrate a pattern of income so that could also support your income verification. 

It would be virtually impossible to hide from my tenants that I am the owner unless I dealt with them personally under some kind of assumed name or put all the properties in an LLC.But I introduce myself as the OWNER, my lease identifies me as the LANDLORD, and I conduct myself as if the buck stops with me.

Identify properties and figure out your goals based on inventory.

It sounds like you identified your ultimate goal of achieving financial freedom, now it comes down to how you're going to get there.

The key to this is identifying one of your strengths and what you could bring to an experienced operator.

A pattern I see when people post about eviction horror stories is that they waited too long, don't make the same mistake.
