We've been very cautious lately, don't want to jeopardize the property, but by pulling out some cash we can build up our real estate portfolio . 

I am interested in real estate (like we all are), but have only had exposure to commercial real estate (currently work at largest bank in Nyc in Global Real Estate Portfolio Management).

The FDIC and many state regulatory agencies will require the lender to substantiate a global portfolio freeze based on value.In the past, I've frozen my entire portfolio but I was able to document that, on a global basis, values had decreased in excess of 50% from origination value.

If you are second guessing at this stage of the game, it is going to be a long sale process.

With a conservative estimation of $800/side it would have me cash flowing approx $600/month or $7,200/year making my COC, 16%.In order to fund this deal I would have to liquidate some of my stock portfolio.

You can build your portfolio with very low risk if you utilize the low down payment program.

Hopefully that made sense, but house hacking is definitely the path to get in the game!
