Then when you get out (if you get out, if you are doing a career this is a different conversation) you take your raft of money and start house-hacking. 

I am interested in a career in real estate, but don't have experience in the field.

You and @Rebecca Holmes are amazing in this field. 

We started talking about our careers and he told me that he started a real estate business and was helping investors by pooling their money together to create capital for his business and was rehabbing homes and offering a lower rate to prospective buyers. 

So I took initiative and joined the BiggerPocket community :) My goals here in BiggerPockets is to meet both the inexperience and experience members in all fields (realtors, brokers, lawyers, property manager, CPA, investors and lenders) to connect and share their knowledge in this competitive field. 

First I would like to apologize if this question was already asked I'm knew to this forum.My question is before even thinking of investing should I get a career in real estate like an appraiser or anything else in that same field?

If she is not on board, or doesn't feel like she is part of the process, your investing career will be a challenge.
