Hi folks -I'm new to BP and real estate (but very familiar with finance and comfortable with early-stage risk in general - I come from the tech venture world).I'm considering making a small hybrid equity investment / loan to a developer building homes.

The lesson was simply adding it before someone asks next time Did you work with any real estate professionals (agents, lenders, etc.) that you'd recommend to others?

I also don’t do business with new western.

We are looking to start a rental investment business and we're currently doing all of the reading and learning that we can get our hands on. 

It as has a newer model home onsite a business is renting as an office.

I’m here to learn how to invest in real estate.

@Ming Li HerreraRecommend exploring as many sources as possible to get referrals AND cross-reference them to get as much accurate information as possible.Check out NARPM.com, BP’s Property Manager Finder (BiggerPockets: The Real Estate Investing Social Network), etc.Also, encourage you to learn from the mistakes of others - by reading posts here on BiggerPockets about owners not having their expectations met by their current Property Management Company.

But today’s market is one where real assessments can be made.  

Get a good real estate agent.
