Think about whether the actual apartment is worth losing the $500 or the rent price, check online reviews, ask to tour the apartment again and talk to neighbors to reconfirm your decision.

Go read some consumer-written reviews, google business or yelp, or wherever you like to read reviews that isn't pay-to-play (JD Powers, BBB, etc, are p2p).
