Here's a few issues I see with this - The units are most likely being used for student housing which is why they may be in rough shape.

I am new to real estate investing and currently a student of the business.

A little about me: I am an nontraditional undergrad student at the state school here about to finish my degree.

In our case, we rent predominately to students and, consequently, would have it removed.

I mentor students all the time and truly enjoy assisting them and watching them flourish in the NYC market.  

Here in Pittsburgh there is a community organization that is "policing" student rental properties and reporting landlords to the City zoning officials. 

I'm kinda surprised the profession is not yet obsolete.Questions for the pros out there:  How do I reinvest?

I'm primarily focused on cash flow generating properties (strip malls, self-storage, medical offices) but I'm open to any opportunity if the deal is right.I'm looking forward to networking with other commercial RE professions in the Greater Philadelphia area. 

A little about me, I live in the Atlanta area, and I have an active Georgia Real Estate license, but currently I am working in another profession (which I don't really like) since I need a steady income.
