There are several layers to acquiring an STR/MTR and one of them is location, but if you leave out the other 6 layers, you could be stuck holding the bag and doing marginal, or worse, losing money because the other factors weren't considered.

Sea World and Universal is a large draw on top of golf, conferences and sporting tournaments. 

The top 10 or so communities that have great amenities and location to Disney will continue to do well as they market globally, have the relationships of tour group operators, travel agents, youth sports leagues and all the others that come here for Disney or as a stop to get to the cruise ports or whatever.You mentioned Reunion specifically.

So high interest rates might work for someone flipping, but what if you are new, misjudged your market and now you are stuck holding the bag on a one year term loan at 13% and can't move the property? 

When you get a reference  for "x y z", I suggest you use google search for:"reviews of x y z"you will always find nay-sayers, but look for a mixed bag of yea vs nay and see what gets noted as worthy info.
