Max,The cold more likely shifted/torqued/sheared the fenestration in which the window is installed and it was this force which caused the glazing to crack.

My guess is you will start to see some resistance by other Investors in the market, prices will stabilize or start a slight decline and then it's up to the Micro Economics to determine if the "Hot Zones" will continue on or if the population makes a shift towards non-oil markets.

The areas of York and Lancaster are also great.Central PA is a nice stable market, with great diversity of employment, a few hours drive from NYC, Philly, and DC.You have to be a little bit careful in down town Harrisburg, but the suburbs and whole capital market is great from a cash flow and growth perspective.
