Since we're planning to renovate 2 small (6 x 11) bathrooms, paint and new minor kitchen upgrades, does it make sense to use existing cash and credit to fund updates or see if there's any existing equity to fund the renovations?

I passed by homedepot the other day to get an idea of how much they would charge for a full bathroom and kitchen renovation using floor models...they mentioned prices that looked quite expensive to me and recommended me not to take any of their off the shelf cabinets for an apartment I would rent as they would tear off after 1 year...does anyone has any experience using Homedepot?

Just the kitchen will probably run you 20K, a bathroom will cost you 5-6K. 4-5K for AC, a few thousand dollars if the electrical and or plumbing need to be redone, and call it 3-4K for new flooring, and a couple of grand for paint, and trim.

Due to the size of the house, the only space I can find to add laundry is to take out one of the closets in a bedroom and expand the one bathroom to put a stackable unit in the bathroom.
