Rental Reno: Laundry or Closet?
I recently purchased a small 1930's home in a great downtown location. It's 800 sq ft 2/1 and currently doesn't have washer/dryer hookups in the house (this was in a detached garage that had to be torn down). Due to the size of the house, the only space I can find to add laundry is to take out one of the closets in a bedroom and expand the one bathroom to put a stackable unit in the bathroom. Definitely not a best-case scenario but don't have the funds to build an addition onto the house at this point.
Should I remove a closet to add washer/dryer or rent the unit without washer/dryer? Thoughts?
