Hi Everyone, I would appreciate any advice based on experience, or any knowledge, of what it's like to invest in multifamily homes on long island, Queens, and Brooklyn (More specifically Queens).

My sister bought a condo in Long Island with her boyfriend.

I am on Long Island, NY and the home prices here are very expensive.  

Google yielded this site: https://www.thebalancesmb.com/...It listed LA as best, West VA 2nd and AR 3rd based on Prop. taxes, 4 key Landlord laws, Avg Rental$, Avg Home price. 3 worst were Vermont, Nebraska and Rhode Island.

Strongly suggest contacting a lawyer and setting up a Cayman Island feeder fund. 

I recently moved to a little island and am in a way starting all over again after 15 years in the business.

We service everything from Pocatallo, through Rexburg, up to Island Park, and out to the Teton Valley with Driggs and Victor and the Palisades area.

The U of M area in East Memphis is also an option.Another location would be downtown and Mud Island - close to the Pyramid, the Forum for sports and concerts, Beal Street for music events.
