They do however offer anonymity that may prevent someone suing you when they don't see the 'hidden' asset during their initial estimate of your net worth to decide if it is worth suing you or not.

So much can be hidden in the fine print.

I have had problems in front of one of my locations and spoke to the major, who got me in touch with his LT, who started parking a squad car in my drive way, confiscated the pitbull, that they had tied to my fence, confiscated some marijuana, that was hidden in my trashcan, put out 'no trespassing' signs on my property, which allows them to arrest anyone that they see. 

As being absolutely new to real estate and self teaching myself about sheriff sales and everything else that's included in real estate investing i only have so much i want to spend to cover any other hidden expenses.

This is one of the hidden risks in tax sale.
