And having said this, however, it's time to realize that while Scott would have you focus on skipping starbucks (which I concur with), and tightening your belt in every other way, my advice to you is - don't sweat all that small stuff.

Check rent rolls to see if any problems with skips, slow pay, or collections.  

I've thought about skip tracing to find the owners, but I am not sure how successful that it is.

While I appreciate (and will take into consideration) all the recommendations to skip the hard money loan, I'm still looking for information on whether I can do what was asked in the original post.I can't make an informed decision without complete information and this particular nugget is at least interesting if not useful.

I did a skip trace on an abandoned property and the report they sent back was full of addresses and email addresses.

It's a hop skip and a jump (probably less than that) away in Agua Dulce (in between Santa Clarita and Palmdale).  

Have skip trace service pull info on record owner.
