The elderly gentleman says that he is going to get going on the house here in the "next few months" on the house, then sell all the acreage together.I do not know if project stalled due to health or money, but my realtor thinks it was due to funding issues.

I work as a paramedic in the bay area and I can see why you want to retire from health care early.

Unfortunately 2 months after closing I had to quit my job because of stress and health issues  .

Fortunately, her health has greatly improved.  

Examples include: patching/painting walls, replacing light fixtures, replacing bathroom vanity or faucet, caulking tub/shower, replacing a few windows, etc.

Yet, we did not have health insurance for ourselves and no real retirement to speak of.

What would you recommend as far as walls-floor-shower/tub-etc.
