My wife and I own portfolio here that we have been building for 7 years and we are enjoying the cash flow and even some appreciation over the last few years which is atypical of our market. 

So my two teens and I recently decided to resell one house because after doing the demo and looking at what we have to do to fix it, none of the things are the things we actually enjoy doing. 

I hope everyone is enjoying the Labor Day weekend (or did if you are reading this after Monday). 

I am also struggling with analysis paralysis and i enjoyed reading this thread.

I know some landlords are afraid of letting tenants know where they live.Both tenants and I enjoy the convenience of electronic payments, but paying by money order is a recognized legal method, though in this day and age, its outdated believe it or not, and is also inconvenient.I understand the horrors of mailing rent by mail.

I enjoy the process, from concept development through design and construction.

I'm seeing houses in that market for half the price that would be sufficient for the next 3-5 years, then you could use the remainder of your cash to purchase investments.You've got to learn to give up some luxuries in life if you want to get ahead, then you enjoy the luxuries once you're successful.

I have experience and have enjoyed being a part of the world, but more importantly I want to be financially free so my family can take advantage of opportunities I had to pass on growing up due to money constraints, to have the ability to travel because I hate feeling stuck in one place, and to have time to spend with the people I love doing things I find meaningful and fulfilling.
