Having a designation would mean absolutely nothing to me as an investor.

The designation of each party can be any combination provided the company has at least one designated manager.

Like many things, a balanced approach will help you learn and determine what works best for you and also be a better judge of what's worth your time (and possibly $) and what isn't .Just be mindful of what you invest in educationally.

I overlooked a ton of oppourtnity much closer to home when I chose to be a long distance investor and at the time it was a foolish approach.
