You mid-market flippers using designers?

OK, I think I'm finally ready to look at flipping to owner occupants, and was curious how many of you active flippers use a designer for ideas on what to do with the house. If so, how do you locate the ideal person for that, and what would you expect to pay and receive from that person, and would they typically have ongoing involvement through the project (or just upfront consultation and design work). I would expect this person, for example, to provide a plan to open, lighten, and modernize the house, maximize curb appeal, etc.

I certainly expect my selling agent (a top producer who will of course be very familiar with what buyers want in the area) will provide key input as well. These would be houses retailing in the $200-350k range.

Thanks.
