They should have access to and find deals for you.

This is a topic I weigh constantly and adjust strategy as our market evolves.  

How wilI I be able to access that information? 

I live in southern cali and just now studying for my RE license mainly for the education and access to MLS and things like that.

Do you have access to some segment of the market investors would like to get into? 

Most roofers would not (or should not) install that many layers for several reasons: voided shingle warranty, accelerated shingle deterioration because of the layers underneath, and constant callbacks for nails backing out of the shingles due to the nails being too short to grab wood roof deck under all the shingles. 

Any Realtor should be able to access title information for the properties you have questions about. 

FYI all your home info (prop taxes, mortgage, permits) are now easily accessible via City of Los Angeles on ZeneHome
