Seems like you got a good start :)You can meet local investors both on this site, by being active in the forums, making connections with local investors, and even better by attending local events or real estate meetings.

I suggest going to your local Atlanta REIA group  and visit their site if you haven't done so already.

It may be sacrilegious to say it on this site, but there are other asset classes out there that are not necessarily going to tank if RE does.
