If you aren't going to replace it up front you should purchase a curb trap key so you can shut off the water from outside yourself instead of having to wait for the water department to show up.

Funny, when my wife was born, her family moved from Canada to Saint Eustatius for awhile.

People also don't clean the lint trap regularly.Hopefully the house is rebuilt and better than ever....with a dryer vent to the outside wall.

At one time I owned 17 rental properties that my wife managed but when my daughter was born we liquidated.

Sure people might not have liked being trapped in their house, but at least they wouldn't have been forced to foreclose.
