@Sanjay Gupta  Yes, definitely talk to an attorney for that, especially for that amount of money being lent. 

As far as permits go, I know you don't have to be licensed to pull them (when the last GC I had messed up everything, I removed him from the permits and took them over in my name), but definitely makes sense for the contractor to be on the permit since they will be dealing with the inspector, correct?

New layer definitely doesn't lay as flat as it should...old shingles are pushing up on the new ones in spots.

I am definitely going to be keeping the duplex, as the income it will produce far outweighs the equity I have in it currently, but that now means I have to figure out property management from afar.  

It just seems like these inspections are entirely subjective and definitely come up with some BS.

If you are VA eligible that’s definitely the way to go.

The driveway is probably a 16% grade and faces north, and it definitely ices over and stays frozen if it's not cleared right away.
