I've been dealing with an unresponsive property manager who is no longer managing properties and has shut down his company.

I have a duplex near a Mini Mart gas station and people are constantly throwing their trash on my property.

I'm looking at house hacking a duplex or the like for my first investment property and looking for some advise on timing.

I was going to run an STR in the home and he would enjoy a higher rent than from a regular LTR rental AND he would have the property managed too.All was going beautifully.

However, I would suggest you calculate a 5-10 year pro forma on each property and calculate an overall IRR for each so you can compare and contrast based on your risk tolerance.

It's been nice to build different plans and seeing how/when the addition of more rental properties plays out in reaching my financial goals.Just wanted to share, thought others here might enjoy it too!

Hi everyone - I am working with some investors & found that I am being faced with the problem / pressure of reducing my commission as they say they are going to buy / sell several properties with me & will not sign an exclusive agreement that puts a time / place & create a sense of loyalty.

I had desisted of the idea of house hacking due to the fact that most small multifamily properties are  the most desirable areas(based on my experience).
