I just finished "Rich Dad Poor Dad" and am wrapping up the BP "How to Invest in Real Estate the UBG to Getting Started," actively listen to the podcast, have David Greene's "Long Distance Real Estate Investing" cued for my next read, and look forward to becoming more educated on the subject!

Hell yeah, they're going to suggest retaliation, and the DMJ is going to listen to them, because...drumroll...it's obviously retaliation!

Honestly I didn't think I was in a position to invest currently, but I feel like half of the bigger pockets podcasts I've listened to are from people that started with little or no money and found a way to make it happen.

I'm in negotiations right now to purchase an existing plumbing business, then I will add handymen, cleaners, and eventually an electrician.I listened to a presentation from a Property Manager in Chicago that had 20 maintenance technicians, a 6,000 ft. warehouse with a full-time manager, and I think three maintenance coordinators.

@Peter WellmanIf I was in your shoes I'd utilize the VA loan to purchase a home and set aside the $25K for repairs/upgrades or to prepare for your next investment. 

Networking aside, don't forget the basics: reading books, listening to podcasts, engaging on these forums.  

When I had a pest control expert come out to look under my primary residence, I crawled under there with him to look for fungus/mold, termites/ants, and water issues - I learned more doing that and listening to him than I ever have watching Youtube videos or reading forums.If you have structural specific questions regarding conventional residential framing, wood/masonry/brick/concrete construction, or just general questions regarding the integrity of a property, shoot me a direct message.
