Does anyone have any suggestions? 

Most agents are self employed and EVERY agent has other obligations in life whether that be a w2 job, children, etc.

Thanks for this suggestion, I think maybe I'll speak to some agents in my area and see if there are any possible ideas for me to rent out a room while I move into a primary. 

I do think though that if you want to live in one of these desirable locations, you better have a solid job and income lined up because at this point you should know better.

Try and get this in writing or at least write down the date and person that gave you this information.Good Job doing the research before committing to a property..

I do full background, credit checks, job verification, etc.

Can't seem to find anything on the Ft Lauderdale city sites on this, so I may have to call but wondered if anyone had a suggestion. 

As agents, we need to add real value and this is not the way to do business.My tip for agents looking for deals for investors is to be more worried about your client than your commission and more focused on providing value than making everyone else do your job.
