Yes I did go to the auction and was able to pickup 2 properties, the deeds will be mailed in couple of weeks.It was a great opportunity - more than 400 properties and less crowd/competitors (July 4th week, ppl took days off)

If not, I take the second applicant.So, and I have no idea if accepting the money created some sort of obligation, I would simply mail them a check for the money and a letter stating the applications have not been received so you cannot proceed with approving them.
